What is a walking Challenge?

A walking challenge is a fun and motivating way to get moving and stay active by setting a specific goal for the number of steps or miles you want to walk over a certain period. It’s all about challenging yourself to increase your daily activity and improve your fitness level!

My Summer Walking Challenge is all about racking up those laps and steps! It’s designed to get you back into the groove of moving, reset your mental health, and help you build a healthy routine. No jogging or running here, just walking – it’s all low impact. And anybody can do it! Check out the breakdown below for all the details and how to get started.

Why Join a Walking Challenge?

Boosts Physical Health

Walking is a low-impact exercise that improves cardiovascular health, strengthens muscles, and enhances flexibility. It’s an excellent way to maintain a healthy weight, reduce the risk of chronic diseases, and increase overall fitness.

Mental Wellbeing

Regular walking releases endorphins, which can help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression. Physical activity can also improve mood, boost energy levels, and enhance mental clarity and focus.

Social Connection

Joining a walking challenge provides an opportunity to connect with others who share similar health goals. It fosters a sense of community, encourages accountability, and can lead to lasting friendships, all of which contribute to overall wellbeing.

Open to everybody

It doesn’t matter where you are in your journey!

Join our walking challenge, open to everyone, regardless of where you are on your fitness journey! Walking is a fantastic activity that anyone can enjoy, and it’s completely free to participate. The only thing you need to do is register for the challenge. Let’s come together, stay active, and support each other on the path to better health!
