Although you already know this, movement is crucial to staying healthy. Our bodies were designed to move, play, and engage in purposeful physical activities on a daily basis. Movement benefits go beyond just maintaining a healthy body; it can also help with your mental health, reducing chronic conditions, and improving your overall life!

First, any form of exercise is essential for a healthy weight and regular activity helps burn calories, build/tone the muscle you’ve been seeking. Along with that it can prevent obesity and many related issues like heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure. Some forms of movement, which I will discuss in a later blog post, are also an excellent way to increase your metabolism. This can help burn more calories throughout the day, even after you’ve completed a workout.

Moreover, movement has a positive impact on mental health due to its release of feel-good endorphins, which are natural mood boosters. Staying active can also improve self-esteem, confidence, get rid of unwanted stress and anxiety, and help you feel well overall.

And just to repeat, moving your body can prevent and lower the risk of heart disease, stroke, and some cancers. As for diabetes, it can also reduce the risk of developing such a condition and improve insulin sensitivity and blood sugar control.

Lastly, daily movement, over time, can improve your overall quality of life with things such as improved sleep, increased energy, and increased productivity. On the other end, it’s also an excellent way to work on your flexibility and mobility. This will prevent injuries, improve your daily performance, and will help you age well in the long run. Cause nobody wants to get older with pain right?

In conclusion, moving your body is critical to maintaining your health. Exercise has numerous physical and mental health benefits and improves quality of life. It’s essential to find a physical activity you enjoy and can incorporate into your daily routine. This could be anything that you enjoy such as strength training, yoga, or even steel mace training. By making exercise a regular part of your life, you can improve your health and feel better physically, mentally, and spiritually.
